About Hawbaker

Coteaching arrangements between special education teachers and general education teachers is a great strategy for effective inclusion of students with special needs. However, simply assigning two teachers to one classroom is not sufficient for ensuring effectiveness. Preparation, coplanning, and trust are also necessary and professional development is beneficial. Below are links to resources that will help you coteach successfully. Hawbaker and Elementary Resource Teacher Kim Miller are available to present inservices to your school or district on coteaching based on their practice, including helpful examples from every grade level and content area.
