The Ross A. Nielsen Fund was established in 2003 to support the educational mission and vision of PLS, to advise and assist with ongoing fundraising strategies which help to maintain and enhance PLS, and to promote and perpetuate the goals envisioned and implemented by Ross Nielsen: a community that provides quality education in a stimulating learning environment for a diverse population of teachers and learners. 

A Board of Directors oversees the fund, and this year's President is Barbara Lounsberry.  There are two fund options.  The PLS Program Development Fund is a quasi-edowment that is administered with the long-term strategic needs of PLS in mind.  The PLS Students First Fund provides immediate scholarship support to offset fee increases of more than 200% in the last three years and to maintain student diversity at PLS.  Contact barbara.lounsberry@uni.edu with additional questions.
